Aloha All,
We all think Hawaii is humid when there is no wind. Tahiti has us beat. Air was so thick this afternoon I had to Extremely important to drink water (or Hinano) all day. Don't know if I want to stick myself with an IV. Guess I could if I had to though. Good thing Rob and I practiced the procedure on each other before we left. Mahalo Nui to our highly qualified intstructor (who's name will go unmentioned due to it's NYDB!) What's a little blood loss anyway.
Continued voyage preparations throughout the day. Installed a Carbon Monoxide/Fire Detector is a location sure to annoy or scare the hell out of the crew should it sound its alarm. Sure to cause some head trauma if you jump up too quickly and hit the cabin...ceiling (what's the nautical term I'm looking for?).
I pursuit of continued and safe hydration throughout our voyage I am flushing and sanitizing both the forward and aft water tanks and filling with filtered water. Completed the forward tank today and will tackle the aft tank tomorrow. No "funny" tasting water on Puanani. I want everyone to have confidence that it is safe to drink from the water system.
Everyone take care and stay well. I'm headed out in search of hydration. All my love.
