Typical Fall Days

21 October 2009
Weather's been consistent...meaning rain-wind-nice...then...rain-wind-nice...keeps goofing up the TV Dish mounted on the boat (they won't let us use the dock or anything so I have to re-adjust it every time the wind blows or changes (or the tide changes, or the current changes, or aliens attack us...

So we tracked and fixed the water leak...not the tank...just a fitting...(whew!).

Sandy is busy tracking any deck leaks that come aboard...so far not too bad...she nails them as they cross the deck. Beautiful here in this harbor/bay thing. Little tuffs of waves when the wind really kicks up but otherwise not too bad and not much going on. It's been warm during the days and mild in the evenings...makes for a pleasant stay.

I did a "hoof-it" trip to Seattle the other day. Bus to Bainbridge, ferry to Seattle, five hours of walking up and downtown Seattle...Ferry to International District, ID to Sculpture Park...then back to the warf area, then to Pike Street for Hombow...then back home and back to boat. Good trip except I forgot to warn my legs!!! Wow, for the next couple of days...in fact for the next 3 days I had trouble even laying down...day 1 couldn't walk
day 2 a little better but I did whine alot...day three...Sandy said she didn't want to hear about it anymore...no amount of explaining could get me any sympathy either (although I did consider falling down in front of her...then she'd be sorry!)...meantime...

...we're both working on upcoming shedules...making decisions about the fuel tank replacement (again). The saga continues.
