A tad breezy

29 March 2010 | Poulsbo, WA
Wow! somebody turned the wind machine on! We knew it was coming as they've been telling us for days. Not too bad though...high winds and rain. May be a few hours or even a day or so Dave until we can get out to finish measuring...We're still tied to the dock so we just bounce around a bit...but still the winds are above 35. Soon though we'll be out in them (at least anchored out) so no matter how it blows we'll feel them a little more.

Still doing boat wiring and connecting. I knew this day was coming...bringing in the wires from the Solar Panels, Windgenerator, and battery meter all to be hooked up to the new battery bank....some of what I have to do is up on deck so it'll have to wait...especially the "going-up-the-mast part"...no fun even on a calm day! Wow...again..winds pushing upwards of 50 knots...a tad breezy is an understatement!

This is Monday too... almost the 1st of April, and we're scheduled to start our sailing shake down cruises this month. Doesn't look like we're going to get out for a bit. First...have to get this weather out of the way and finish hooking stuff up. We're both doing okay but we're getting a little cabin fever...we neither one of us do well when we're feeling trapped down in.

Maybe on the next post we'll get to report our sailing experience...as...this is supposed to be a sailboat...not a stay-at-the-dock-live-aboard-boat.

Ray out for now.
