09 April 2010 | Ray here -Poulsbo
Well. we lived through the" Id's of March" and now the storms of April. (I feel like a ground hog...trapped for weeks on end in a hole...not even allowed to come out to see my shadow. Must be the victim in me :)

So today the sun shines and the wind stopped...we've been hit with day after day of sun, wind, rain, hail, sleet, snow, then more rain and wind. They keep telling us that each one is a freak storm, but something's not right because it's one then another... then another. The good news is...it's sunny out (so far, today...although 37 degrees!). So, today at leas,t we'll work both inside and out. In the next two days we plan to put in the new watermaker parts and fire it back up. Then it's up both masts and install wiring, reconnect the jib and staysail furlers, and bolt down the rest of the stuff to the deck. That should just about do it because as of the 30th of April... we are off the dock and headed out crusing!

Sandy just went through a bout with something flu-like. She seems to be getting over it though. Guess that's good (if there's anything good about flu) in tha,t it happened during the week of storms.

We've scheduled our granddaughter Jillian to come out and stay with us again duing part of her spring break...our goal is to have eveything done by then so we can have some good times with her. Here's hoping the weather holds.

Ray out for now.
