La Conner
11 May 2010
Made it to La Conner, perfect weather, perfect timing! What a trip...you go for like..5 miles inland in a channel not 50 feet wide and down to 4'2" deep...spooky. Arrived at the city of La Conner with dead slack tide (redundant?)... anyway...we're here...what a great little place...sort of high-end-touristy-but-out-of-season kind of place. The guest docks were empty so we just pulled up...put the boat in reverse...then neutral then stopped. Sandy stepped off the boat...we did a marina check-in ($40.00 thank you very much)...and a visit to town where we had some Thai stuff (this was actually part of Sandy's and my exchange program as I had BBQ for the last two meals!). Now doing some R & R boat cleaning and prep...power's back on...so we can charge up the new battery. I'll be interested in seeing how it does up in Bellingham on the hook. ( Actually, we'll be in Fairhaven which is considered South or East Bellingham...supposed to be a nice little lagoon there).
All is well at the moment....Ray out.
