Fairhaven - South Bellingham, Wa
13 May 2010
So, we departed LaConner this morning at 6 AM...went through the rest of the channel...we we're told it was best to leave at 9am but the tide was already in our favor at 6:00, and besides everyone was wrong...at 6 am we were 5 hours before max ebb tide in Rosario Straight...turned out to be a good choice. We had a beautiful ride...eagles, seagulls, beautiful homes...nothing like being on your sailboat and cruising through farmlands!
The weather was nice when we left and got nicer as we came north...now we're in Bellingham and it's climbing up to 70! (Those that know me know it's a big deal as I think the last time I saw 70 was in the shower).
So anyway here we are...parked ...excuse me "anchored" ...off some boardwalk thing. We just took the dink to town and got some really good burgers and stuff at Wins drive in...1950's motif but for real...not new-age retrofit....Anyway...back on the boat now drifting around in the sun eating Cracker Jacks (actually it's Cracker Jack which in it's plurality is single and plural at the same time)...Thought about doing boat projects, but the sun is stressing me out....I had better just go take a nap.
Ray out for now. ZZZZzzzzzzz
