Ray here - Weather sunny and sunny
Wow! We did it...finally got away!
First a big HELLO to Eagle and company! Glad to have you aboard....of course w can only commend you on both your choices of boat and destinations! We'll zip over and start catching your blog and progress.

As the saga continues...we taxied over to the souther tip of Lummi Island...took off and headed north-ish and circled Sutia Island trying to get into Fox Cove but...alas it had people in it (two) so they were full...ha! Shallow Bay looked a little too shallow for us so we decided to circumnavigate all the while watching storm clouds rolling in. Finally decided on Echo Cove on the inside. Slipped in, tied up to what is called a linear dock (which is really just a bunch of ropes strung in a line with plastic tie things...it's not as fragil as it sounds but in the end we hated it! Messed up our paint job and everything). Inside, we were pretty much alone, (one other boat way-away)...so we zipped around the island in the dink for bit...then tucked in for the blow! And it did...we bobbed around all night tied to this thing that made each of us vow never to do again....(it made the boat behave in an unnatural way) and nothings worse than a perverted boat! the storm really blasted the outside but inside we just got some wind and big waves every now and then. We're moving to Stuart Island tonight for the same reason as the last tow storm ridden nights.

Currently, we are in Roche Harbor headed to Stewart Isand (about 3 miles away)...Roche is nice, and it has Internet and phone, showers, and trash but...way too many other boats...way to many people...and way to expensive (Latte's 4-5 bucks!). We're going to be here a while (Stewart Island and Roche) because we are waiting for some banking mail and we really can't go further north without it (One of us lost there Debit Card-kind-of-thing and the only clue I can give is that it wasn't me this time! Ha!).

Email today...but probably not tomorrow. The Post Office guy here in Roche is going to call us when the our bank-mail stuff arrives...until then we're just gunkholing around the place. I've got my clam gun out looking for clams...and we're going to a place where they're supposed to just hop in the boat. Kettle's on...I'm a'wait'n.

Ray out for now.
