A big hello to my friend Vicki. Hi there Vicki. Hope you enjoy the site and I will look forward along the way to hearing about your big adventure.

Well, everyone, Ray has pretty much kept kept this up to date. And we are now just about past the surgery, as Ray will return to work tomorrow.

A miriad of things to deal with as you can imagine. I spent Sunday typing our wills and getting our health care directives ready for our docs to sign off for us. We finally made a decision on a financial manager here to take care of as much as possible for us while we are away. That was a relief and I was getting anxious that we'd not found someone so close to our leaving. We are so grateful to our friend Karen Decker, who I worked with at the law firm in Seattle for many ears and who is/was my gardening companion. Thank you, thank you ever so much, Karen.

I've finally given up reading three books at a time and am just now re-reading "Sail Away! A Guide to Outfitting and Provisioning for Cruising" written by Paul and Sheryl Shard. Fabulously informative and an easy read. I'm able this read to feel like we actually have made good progress -- certainly in having most everything we have -- Ray is such a wonderful shopper!!!!

So glad you are sharing with us on our blog. It will get infinately more adventuresome and exciting in the next month, to say the least.

Ships ahoy!!
