Welcome Chehalis Tribal Members and Friends

31 July 2009 | Ray reporting...Sandy's here with me...
Still way hot!!! Yes?
Not our boat...but just a cool picture of where we're heading...our boat is the one in the little picture on the right!

Okay, so like we've been retired now for three whole days. First, I want to tell everyone on the Res that retirement is real easy to learn...although I think I got a D-minus for the first couple of days because I got up, got dressed like I was going to work, and then sat around like a stunned mullet...wondering what I was supposed to do...then Sandy reminded me...Oh yeah!...we're supposed to be sailing around the world in a few days! Funny how little things slip your mind when you enter the Post-Res-Twilight-Retirement-Zone!

Anyway...Welcome to our website...it's called a sailblog for obvious reasons (Duh Ray). The blog entries are posted backwards from today...that's okay unless it's tomorrow then it gets a little confusing...I think I need more coffee...B-R-B.

Okay...more coffee now ready to go...

So here we are..out of work..I think of it like being on permanent lifetime unemployment except we don't get as much money. (That translates into "Feel sorry for us and take up collections!"...I know..I know....WE NEED A FRY BREAD SALE...Yeah!!).

Well, we're just gone for a couple of days and we're already missing people...(if you see one of us around the Res...that's not really us...we're supposed to be retired remember?). The truth is, as everyone knows, you really never get to leave the Res....ever.

Onward...There's a lot of information and stuff on this sailblog...especially if you go to the beginning and work your way up...we talk about our sailing plans, storms, pirates, and what our boat is like. (If you want more details on the boat just click on our PROFILES on the right (for guys maybe way cool...for girls...not so much).

For those that don't know, Sandy and I are preparing to sail off to go around the world. We're very excited, and to tell the truth, work was a little distracting when we started getting closer. Like, I don't think I did "zip" for the last week or so (some people think it's more like a year but we won't go there).

We can't thank everyone enough for the parties and send offS we got...this tribe is the best tribe at celebrating things I've ever seen...Oh and the best Fireworks of any place I've seen in my life! You don't just go and see Res fireworks...you're in the middle of them...just too cool for words! It truly feels like we're leaving part of our family but since we can't take everyone with us we think the next best thing to being there is sharing this blog with you.

BTW you can comment and send us emails by clicking on the "comments" thing at the bottom of this page. Just remember we're not always near an email place so it may be a while before we get back to you.

Enough for now and welcome aboard.
