We went around Cape Horn today around noon and it was a non event. Earlier there were 20 foot waves reported but by the time we arrived it was almost calm but COLD with a brisk breeze. The land was pretty spectacular-great jagged cliffs rising out of the sea. I was surprised to see that the tip is more like a series of islands rather than just the land ending. We are now in the Straights of Magellan and headed north. I am not sure we will make it ashore at Punto Arenas because it is another anchorage with tenders. It will be our last chance to see penguins though so I have my fingers crossed.
