The sun is setting on Sweden's national day
I have come on my morning watch. Suddenly clouds appeared in the North, drizzle and a 90 degree wind shift. Wind picked up briefly first and then died later. The drizzle become light rain and persisted for a couple of hours.
A spot in the water seemed to attract dolphins and sea birds. Probably they were all fishing. I could see the dolphins pretty far down in the very clear water. It was a slight disappointment that they didn’t continue to swim with Queenie. Fishing, I presume is more important.
Normally the sun sets in some clouds on the horizon, but not today! It was like a fire ball descending in the water to disappear at 21.17. One more look at it as the long swell lifted us up so we could see it once again.
It is new moon. It sets soon after sunset. It is setting on its side. It is very narrow. It is very beautiful.
