getting ready for the big passage to Marquesas

We are using all the time in Santa Cruz, trying to fix our fridge and recovering from "la patada china" or Cunguctivitis that we both caught from the locals. Nila is taking a nice 3 day trip to Isabella, exploring volcano Negro and the marine wildlife. We look forward to nice long downwind sailing to the Marquesas.

After a long sail, with the winds mostly coming from the direction we want to sail to, we are anchored in the buzy anchorage of Academy Bay, between local tour yachts and a few cruisers.

Meanwhile its exploring this island by bicycle and on foot, the Darwin station, Turtuga Bay, El Mirador, Las Grietas. We see a bit of Galapagos famous wild life, but we haven't done any diving or snorkeling yet.

After a long sail, with the winds mostly coming from the direction we want to sail to, we are anchored in the buzy anchorage of Academy Bay, between local tour yachts and a few cruisers.
Getting closer to the archipelago, some red-footed boobies landed on the boat and spent the whole night catching a ride with us, making a lot of noise and dirt.
We ordered a part for our fridge that quit working our last day of sailing and trying to enjoy the many attractions of the islands.
On Santa Cruz we visit so far the Darwin nature station and the crack called 'Las Grietas'.
