Day 4
I (Steen) had serious doubt about this trip before we left Mazatlan. The scale tipped in favor of leaving, but not by much.
Our intended destinations were going to take us far far away from home. (I am not sure where home is anymore, but it is not Mexico or the South Pacific.)
I am not sure what happened, maybe the propane issue, or the fact that it broke my heart to see Malou say good-buy to her new friends in the Mazatlan anchorage.
Something tipped the scale the other way for me the first morning out. Something just did not feel right. We talked about what was happening and decided to sleep on it. Yesterday morning I felt better about the voyage, but not great. Last night I asked Angela if we could turn around. As we entered he teen-latitudes, Radiance turned and headed back towards Mexico.
What are we going to do next? I don't know. I have planned for this trip for 5-years. I don't have a plan anymore. We will play it by ear.
We are fine and hope you are too. Til next time,
fair winds, crew of s/v Radiance
