In the stormy Bay of Islands

Just like last year at this time, we are at anchor in a safe little bay waiting out a gale. Last year, if my memory serves me right, we were still at anchor in Clipper Cove by San Francisco waiting out a gale. Interesting, maybe only to a few, San Fran and the Bay of Islands are more or less on the same latitude, just in different hemispheres. Sitting at anchor while a gale blows must sound horrible to some. It really isn't, it is actually quite cozy and relaxing, well except for short outbursts of ship-fever from each of the crew members, but they are very short-lived. We, (Angela), bake bread and cakes and we both cook good meals 3 times a day. We also read a lot, and watch movies. It is very nice not being able to go anywhere; you can just forget about any schedule that you might have, because there is nothing you can do about it.
The gale warring keeps on getting extended. We are now on our 6th day. Maybe tomorrow we can head South? Time will tell.
