A typical morning in the South Island

This was a typical view out the van window in the morning during our South Island trip. As soon as Malou opened her eyes each morning she swiped her hands across the condensation on the van window and announced that it was 'mording time'. Sometimes the light was so perfect that I would grab the camera before even saying 'good morning' and start snapping away. As long as the light stayed just right I would just keep shooting. Heaven for someone like me to wake up in a new place each morning and have such a wealth of beauty before me... including my photogenic husband and child (I'm entitled to be prejudiced).... And of course to have nearly unlimited capacity with a digital camera, as long as the batteries and memory held out. "Dad, wouldn't you have loved having a digital camera back when we were growing up?"
