Just signed up to sailblog our first try at modern socialization. Now I guess we'll get the word out and friends and family will be able to really see what we are up to. Off to shop for tonight's dinner with Westwind and Tropical Breeze.

We had a great day, left Indiantown, anchorage!!! at 10.20 because we could not lift our second anchor, it is far too big a danforth when it is tangled!!
Anyway, once we had untangled it was and OK . We do not like two anchors, they always seem to tangle. Ours did because we threw it in the wrong side of the......
The railway bridge of 49 ft was closed, altho it is usually open. had to wait an hour while some sort of repair being done. No cummunication as the railway people take care of it.

Then we got going thinking the Mayaca lock was every two hours, now know it is on demand or request and you can choose which side to hang on to. Thank goodness for that or we would have been in trouble.

a lift or drop of 1 foot. No problem.

Crossing the lake was good, the first hour was lumpy but fine... then calmed. Lake was never less than 11 until approaching mile 55, and then the least was 9.5" Red 14 was 8.2" red 18 7.9". Going thru the last did not see anything less than 7.2"for mere seconds.

So all is well with us.

We got to Moorhaven anchorage at 5.00. Did the one anchor and put lots of lights up. It seems that it was only 42 n.m./ but took longer because of 1 1/2 hours wait for the rr brdge, no train, just workman.. and of course the locks, 2 today. It is a fine day and I hope you all had a fine day too.

Alain is now playing guitar, I am having a drink and writing after planning next day, Labelle, only 21 nautical miles.

p.s. the wild birds are amazing and bountiful.
