Jim
Good morning!

Well it was another dark night. We were driving the boat as hard as possible into a black hole. I had a heck of a time with vertigo, as there was absolutely no horizon or differential between the sea and sky.

On another front, Carlos gave Ty a shot at the world snoring championship but failed in his conquest to unseat the champ. Glad I'm on the opposite watch as Ty!

We were very excited to get this morning's position report and the news is good. We're still 3rd in class but have leaped to 3rd in fleet from yesterday's 15th in fleet standing. Our Southerly route still looks promising, although the race committee has advised the fleet to keep our eyes on a low pressure area forming to our South. Nothing exciting yet, but if there's going to be an issue, that's where it's going to come from.

Currently we are under thick low clouds, same sail combination as the last few days, wind has ranged from 11 to 20 kts and the sailing has been terriffic.

You will be excited to know our plan is to pay for the trip from the royalties earned from our soon-to-be hit country song; "Momma's Don't Let Your Babies Grow-up to be Sailors." We are also working on a rap song, but it hasn't come together yet. I will let you know our progress tommorrow. Might take a run at "Baby Got Boat" or "Getting Boaty Wit It".

Aloha!
Jim
