We have just returned from the official Baja Ha Ha kick of party. Lots of fun and lots of people. The fleet is made up of 195 boats (give or take a couple) who will all be going HA HA HA HA all the way to Mexico.
Tomorrow morning all the boats and their crews will assemble for the official start at just inside Point Loma which is preceded by a parade of the boats in the Harbour where the fire fighting hose on their patrol boat will shower the fleet .The media will be present along representatives of customs and navy from both USA and Mexico -- a big event.Check out all the info on the rally by clicking on the Baja Ha Ha Rally link on the home page of the blog.
We are seriously excited , Red Sky is all fitted out and ready for the 1000 odd nm passage down to Cabo on the Baja Peninsular. This passage will be done in 3 legs over 10 days.
The broker we purchased Red Sky through- Lon Bubeck and his wife Liv are joining us aboard for the rally.These guys have been awesome during our stay in California , hooking us up with huge discounts on parts and looking after our mail and have become friends.
We will do a blog each day whilst on route to keep you informed of our progress.
