13/12/2011: Isla Cavada was enjoyed with Bomberlero, sharing Dinner together, exploring but the weather continued to be overcast and raining, best spent below decks. We left Isla Cavada around 9.30am headed for Islas Contreres, Large rolling swells on the beam, but pleasant sail towards our anchorage Isla Brincanco. This was a Wow location, sun was shining and the water was as John described "Blue Lagoon" like. We anchored, swam, snorkelled, paddle skied the whole bay & washed in the fresh water run off from a waterfall, heavy clouds covered us later in the day, and the torrential rain continued. 14/12/2011: We left Isla Brincanco around 7.30am with a weather window to continue onto Cebaco or Naranjo - our passage consisted of a slight swell on the beam 1/2 - 1m,then calm conditions and humid, squalls of 18-20 kts from the system building out 30 miles or so. We arrived at Punta Naranjo 17:00 with heavy rain and a very rolly anchorage, water turning brown around us. 15/12/2011 - 05.22am: We continued on the following morning, with overcast conditions, rainy 1- 1 1/2m seas beam on heading for Ensenada Benao - 13.54 arrival - anchorage no good too swelly! Decided to keep going rather than spend another uncomfortable night at anchor. Rounded Punta Mala and sea conditions changed, ( we have been the only boat navigating these waters most of time, with the exception of a catamaran off Punta Mala, who called us re weather conditions, he was heading to Costa Rica...advised us of his demise going throught the Panama Canal, major damage to the vessel) We decided to anchor off Pedasi Limon - between Punta Mala and Punta Rinconcito. Calm conditions and great night sleep.....Boston Legal & Chilli for Dinner. 16/12/2011: 5.40am - Destination Isla Otoque - Passage conditions, wet, grey skies, seas calm, heavy rainfall, visibility pretty poor sometimes closer to anchorage, short confused seas. Arrived Isla Otoque & anchored 17.07. Wind blowing from the North 18 -20 kts...which is good for this anchorage if wind holds, we will have a pleasant night.
