It’s all coming together

22 March 2010
Well friends, we are nearly ready. I did my last provisioning today while Jim was taking care a few boat details. All the parts are in, with one exception a fuel filter that is out all across the island, and the new battery box was delivered today. The starboard engine belt is properly adjusted and the whine is gone, both engines purring. All that is left to do is have the batteries installed and hopefully Vincent will be here in the morning to take care of that final piece.

Then we'll need to return the car, clear out of St. Martin then late in the afternoon tomorrow we will have a shakedown sail with Serge and Philippe, they will help us anchor in a close bay, and then dingy back and we will be on the hook for the night.

Tonight there is a beautiful sunset going down to the west and clouds and rain coming over the mountain from the east. Now the adventure really begins.
