After a long day yesterday we made it to Rodney Bay...safe and sound anchored near Fort Rodney....

Rodney Bay is a very large, mile wide bay that has room for lots of boats in various spots. We choose to anchor last night in the far remote northern end, near the Sandals resort, where we watched a wedding take place on the beach. Today it is off to customs and to explore the inner lagoon, where there is a big marina and other necessary shopping, etc. We dingied in and appearently got to customs just at the right time as we were in and out in about 15 minutes (including completing the paperwork!)… Shortly after we left a ferry must have just come in or was leaving as the line for customs was out the door and along the whole upper balcony! The very gracious lady at customs allowed us to check in and out at the same time, saving us a trip later at the south end of the island. After breakfast and checking out the shore and inner lagoon, which is easily the size of St. Georges, Grenada, just differently shaped, we headed back to the boat. We are back in the southern islands and ‘boat boys’ are back in business here. Jewelery sellers, fish, Hand carvings, fruit and veggies – whatever you need or want, you can buy it from a boat that comes right alongside.
