Rafael skips by, but leaves a wet trail

13 October 2012
Saturday, October 13, 2012

After a cloudy, and slightly rainy Friday we wake this morning to the rain on the decks, 79% humidity and a heavy overcast. According to the forecast the center of Rafael has passed us by so we are left with the outer bands which are substantial. Looks like whatever work we do today will be done in between the raindrops, which to me sounds like a good excuse for a nap. As today is Saturday, there is a Hash here, which is a bit like a super casual 3 or 5K run/walk. The difference is you need to follow a trail of ‘bread crumbs’ like confetti, or shredded paper which marks the trail, and the course runs up and down hills, thru streams, etc. Did I mention it’s been raining here?….I imagine it will be more like a muddy-buddy! At the end there will be drinks, of course…but I think we’ll take a pass.
