Addendum to Saturdays message...
SO...the Hash, that was probably our first and last one. Not that we didn't enjoy it...we did...but gee we gotta go and wont be here for another one. We took a group bus over to the South East part of the island, a nature preserve and hotel called La Sagasse. A very beautiful spot, and on the beach were two beer stands and a small stage and music set up. We determined that we just couldn't do the Namby Pamby trail (which we actually never saw marked anyway)...so took the 3 mile hike instead, which was lovely, but hot, and with a few serious inclines and one Major decline that caused us a bit of trouble. To come down the hill there was a long line strung which reminded us of a bunny ski lift, but we were headed the other way. We made it down the long portion of the line, then there was a bout a 15 foot section on a lower hill. The stump the line was tied to gave way, and we all tumbled down the rest of the way. Jim wrenched his knee pretty bad on the fall, so the rest of the hike was pretty challenging for him.

Finally, back at the beach, we were given our certificates for completing our first hash....So they gather all the newbies in a group...and then christen them with several warm malt beverages. Apparently this is a secret that all hashers keep from the newcomers, however, one friend did advise me NOT to change from my wet clothes too early....Thank you Sunny! So wet and now sticky we hop the bus for the ride home.
