a bright new day

Saturday, Dec 22nd.

Well…The Mayans have now lost ALL credibility as the world DID not actually end last night (no surprise!) and we wake to a perfect, bright and sunny Caribbean Day. After seeing to some boat chores, and talking to our Daughter and Grandsons, we took a kayak around the bay, explored the beaches and paid our mooring fee for a few nights. Some new friends from last night stopped by and tied their dingy to Regenero to go snorkeling as we are closest to the shore. I joined them, and we all discovered that the swell had kicked up the bottom and visibility was nil. Short snorkel trip! Later that day we joined Lee and Sharon for sundowners and enjoyed catching up since we have not seen them since last April in St. Martin, and that was a quick visit.

We brought down some solar powered white Christmas Lights that we have strung from the bimini frame and along the aft lifelines. They look wonderful and throw just the right amount of light as we are sitting in the cockpit.
