Thursday, November 27, 2014 A Puerto Rican Thanksgiving
Today was a wonderful day! Bobby invited us to his home for a traditional Thanksgiving dinner. About 20 people … some close personal friends and some new friends as well poured into Bobby’s place and enjoyed turkey, ham, salad, Puerto Rican rice, Pastille’s, roast pork, Stuffing, Apple Pie, Pumpkin flan…and more…an incredible amount of food, great conversation, and lots and lots of laughter. Bobby is a lovely host, and his close friends Vilma & Wanda made us feel completely at ease. Bobby’s son Ignacio, his long time friends Jose & Miguel (Mikey), Juan, Melvin the mechanic & his girlfriend, Pedro & his girlfriend, several of Bobby’s guys and their wifes (one who made the awesome flan). The conversation flowed in both Spanish and English (mostly for our benefit) stories were told, more food was consumed and people moved from place to place, talking, laughing & eating.
It was a super time!
