Farewell to Camp St. John

Sunday, Feb 1st, 2015 Farewell to Camp St. John

Well! even I can’t believe the amount of fun we have had this past week. While I never actually experienced a ‘sleep-away’ camp when I was a kid these past few weeks are pretty much what I dreamed it would be like..(sans campfires, communal showers and bunk beds) but otherwise exactly like I imagined!

There were new friends to be made, hikes to be taken, ruins to explore, new skills to learn (noodling at sea), snorkeling, beaches to be walked, lunches ashore, dingy raft-ups, happy hours, and much, much laughter indulged in. We moved anchorages a few times, but finally had to break camp, and say a partial good-bye to our camping friends and head to shore. I’ll detail this more later – cause it was crazy-fun – but as of today we are back in Crown Bay, saying Hello to our lovely friends here and getting ready for Louise to arrive on Wednesday! Can. Not. Wait!
