Our last overland in Thailand a trip to Koh Samui on the east coast to see friends we had last met up with in New Zealand 9 years ago. Great to catch up but sadly Koh Samui just another Phuket, so built up now you can’t get to the beach unless you go through an hotel.

We carried on up to Phuket over the next week stopping at various anchorages along the way, Val completing her journey at yacht haven marina. Lots of nice restaurant meals on the way due to a generous granny,the kids had a wail of a time and were sad to see nana go after a couple of weeks on board with us. I think she enjoyed it but now the warm weather will just be a memory in a nz winter for her
