This time its for real!

So here we are, two years after the first initial ideas and dreams it appears that a fraction of it is about to come true. In the same REMM crew, now bigger with another 'M' for Manoe, our very soon to be One Year Old daughter, in few weeks we are setting off on a transatlantic trip.
We will sail from Port-la-Nouvelle in France via Gibraltar, Morocco, Canaries, Senegal (maybe), Cape Verde, across the Atlantic to the Caribbean. Then depending on our final decisions either by the north or south route we will reach Panama to explore the San Blas.
The yacht, 'Lymbao', a 14.70 Privilege catamaran has all the equipment we will require on this journey both for safety and reasonable comfort.
The departure date is approaching very quickly with only six weeks to go. The preparations are in full swing. On the land-side we have to 'shut-down' our life for 6-7 months and that requires certain actions in terms of our jobs, boys' schools, house, car etc. We are closely looking at medical requirements and risks, considering that we will travel with three children one of which will be just over 1. On the ocean-side of preparations there are some items to tick off the list before we set sail. We have to get the watermaker operational. There's also few details to touch up on the plumbing side, stitching of the sail and cockpit covers, zodiac engine trim. Then, once stocked up on charts, pilots, school books, pasta and tins of chilli con carne we will be ready to set course to SOUTH.
We are a bit o floating Tower of Babel, and the same goes for our blogs. My partner continues her blog from the Round the World trip in 2013 here: http://100merveillesdumonde.blogspot.fr/
The blog is in French and occasionally, when I get a chance I translate into Polish - my mother tongue. Depending on time I will translate to English.
REMM(m) on sailblog will stay focused on the sailing and technical side of the voyage. Also it will remain being edited in English.
stay tuned!
