Left boat in Acciaroli and caught the train to Rome. (Well a bus and 2 trains) met our friend Nicole from Townsville there and had a couple of days exploring the highlights of Rome. Mostly on foot, as you see so much more when you walk, however our walking muscles were protesting at the end of each day!
Our airbnb was very close to the Vatican so it was nice to have a constant view of St Peter's Dome. We explored the Vatican City and sirrounds on the first day and then inner city Rome on the second. Amazing to be walking inside places like st Peters Basilica, Sistine Chapel, Pantheon, and the Colosseum. Beautiful sunny days so got some great photos. Then caught the trains back to boat ready to continue north
