A couple days ago we heard that Paris (Texas)Harley Davidson were going to attempt to set the World Record of the most Harleys in a parade at the one time. It was only 1.5 hrs from Hawkins so we set off early in the morning. Had a lovely cool ride up there and then headed out to the airstrip where it was going to be held. Well, turns out it was bigger than they even expected. Took way too long to register all the bikes, we got our electronic tages and then Mr Guinness had a hand held counter to use as we all rode past him in single file. So we were all out in the sun for hours before we finally got under way at about 2pm. It would've taken a couole hours for all the 3,497 bikes to file past. Yes, 3,497. The World Record was broken that day. How amazing to be a part of it
