Whales and a fast trip

Departed 0620 this morning. 15 to 20 kts expected, but still some squalls about so we left with a double reefed main and full genoa. Wind forecast was pretty accurate and on the beam, swell was moderate, but slightly behind us and as we'd scraped the hull in Antigua we had a fast trip, often doing 7kts.
We saw what we think were pilot whales, too big for dolphins and a very dark dorsal fin and then a huge whale ahead of us as we approached Guadeloupe. Too far to identify, but we saw it blow a couple of times and saw a big dark mass before his tail came out as he dove deep. Then we saw nothing.
Arrived at 1300, anchored in about 9m of water...its quite crowded in here again, checked in, had a few rainy squalls pass over and then enjoyed a stunning sunset. Dinner on board
