0600 report: Had a great day....3 Mahi Mahi! We ate well for dinner
tonight! The first one was a good size, enough for us for 2 meals, the
next was smaller, but the third was 1.19m. And we only just landed it.
As we were hauling it over the back with the gaf, he flicked and got
free of everything, gaff and lure, but the momentum kept him heading
forward straight into the cockpit..which he only just fit in to. More
lightning tonight again, but not close. Having trouble with fuel, or
fuel filters, not sure which. Changed filters yesterday am at 0800 and
then again just now at 0400. Engine just loses revvs. Still got at
least 1 spare set, so hopefully this time it will last longer than the
20hrs of engine time. Not much wind today, lots of motoring. 98 nm to
go, all mostly good on board.
