Adventure of a lifetime

Sailing round the world....slowly

Arrival storm

So, we are safe and sound at anchor at Southport North Carolina. Departed Wednesday 0615 Cape Titusville Fl arrived NC 0720 Saturday..364 nautical miles. Good passage really, lots of motoring, very fast sailing at 10kts whilst in the Gulf Stream, huge storms with impressive light shows every night...but in the distance, and 3 Mahi Mahi in the one day. Our fridge and bellies are full. Caught the edge of a storm about an hour out of the anchorage. Strong wind, heavy rain, but short and sharp and we were already in the channel.
We are anchored just off the ICW, so interesting to watch all the traffic go past. Huge container ships heading to Wilmington, that look way to big for this waterway!
Now to rest!
