Today was another long day battling currents in the ICW. It was still very beautiful, sadly we saw many dead yachts and boats washed up, not sure why they are just abandoned. Today was cold and we were quite rugged up.
I think we averaged just 4 kts! But now we're out, in the ocean and heading for Deltaville. We are expecting squally weather and maybe sime thunderstorms, but hope they follow the forecast map and head further north.
Still have our dirty fuel, but we are now prepared for it and clear the filter at a time that suits us, before engine shuts down of own accord. We can tell when fuel isnt getting through properly and we have the routine down to less than 30 seconds. Once we haul out we will empty and clean out fuel tank.
