Seafood!!

0650 departure as we wamted to meet Oops enroute and they were leaving early as they had further to go. It was cool, but not as cold as yesterday. We move well these days with a cleen hull and the adjustment Phil did on the propeller. So Oops caught us when we got in the channel. We did a package transfer just before the mayo dock, between Oops and ourselves as they had bought us a much needed heater part when they were ashore back in Belhaven. The two power boats behind Oops must have wondered what was going on. After they all passed us, we tied up at the Southern end of the dock, with olenty of depth under the keel. Shrimp boats dock here and unload their catch. There were power outlets available, but we didnt use them. The charge is 0.40c per foot to dock for the night ($14 for us). You dont need to pay for dockage if you are just getting seafood, only if you are staying the night. We filled our tanks with water (we are not using the watermaker in the ICW) but as there are no hoses on the dock, we made quite a few trips to the main hose with our jerry cans. Had lovely hot showers and then went for a walk to stretch our legs and bought a ton of seafood. Had the best dinner. Garlic prawns and scallops, cold boiled prawns and fried flounder. Wondering if you can ever have too much seafood??😀
Loved this little dock, would happily stay here again
