Adventure of a lifetime

Sailing round the world....slowly

Big bay

Yesterday (after watching Superbowl ashore on Sunday night) we finally left the very protected Hatchet Bay and moved 10 miles south to Alabaster Bay. It was a very foggy start to the morning, so after a quick trip to the local supermarket we were off. We had to motor into a light headwind, but only for 11nm. Now we are in a very large bay with plenty of room to anchor. Sand and rock bottom, so you just need to choose your spot to drop the anchor. Another stunning anchorage, we enjoyed exploring the bay in zodi, then pina coladas and dinner on Oops.
9th: Went for a walk to check out the abandoned naval base and had an explore there and finished up the day with a fire on the beach.
