Oops, I forgot to post on Friday morning!!
Sailed to Spanish Wells overnight Thurs from Grand Bahama. 124nm in 21hr, 45min. Ave speed 5.7kts. We were going very well all day and night under a reduced Genoa, then at 0330 the wind all dropped out and we had to motor the last 18nm. We needed to slow down anyway so to arrive in daylight.
Everything was behind us, wind, waves, and current so it was a fast trip.
So many cruise ships just hanging aimlessly in these waters with nowhere to go!
Had been here before so knew our way in through the reef. Picked up a mooring for the first time though as there's going to be some wind clocking right around as a storm front passes over Sunday night
Will stay here now for quite some time as there are many different anchorages depending on wind direction
