Fed up

Im fed up after this weeks endeavours. One step forward followed by two steps back. Every job I try and tackle appears to get more complicated than I initially estimated and almost inevitabily requires another trip to the hardware or chandlery not too mention takes about three time longer than it should.
Well thats the steam blown off so what did I achieve. Not much in reality. The second bilge pump that I refitted lack weekend counlt be coaxed into working despite nall sorts of tinkering. Think I will replace it one of the new ones I got last weekend and replace all the piping. I have also fitted my new electric pump in one of the forward bigle sumps onloy to find that the electircs to that pum dont work any longer and appear to have had a melt down. I stripped the switch panel and dont see anything obvious, so yet another simple job goes up the Swannie.
I am still fiddling with the water inlet and engine plumbing in general. I was given a water trap by one of my connections and after a few attempts managed to get all the associated connections to (hopefully) connect into the water inlet pipe. Guess what it didnt work as one of the inner connections was lose so it wouldnt hold water. Associated with this plumbing issue I need to get another step down from 15mm to 12mm and a four meter length of 12 mm reinforced pipe and hopefully that will be the end of it.
Once the pipe worl eventually works I can start the engine again and hopefully that will run OK. I still have the wind telltale to re attached at the top of the mast. I'll wait until I have a helper with that one as I dont fancy going tpo the top of the mast without being tied on in a harness.
Almost there on the safety resuisites. Two more flags and a bolt cutter remain on my list.
As there is a classic car show this weekend in Cape Town and my Dad is visiting I think I'll give the boat a miss until next week.
