Clowers depart
20 September 2010 | Poros, Greece
While we hated to see Dean and Rhonda leave, we enjoyed blobbing out in Poros for 6 nights! There was a late meltemi (strong north wind) which made us decide to just stay put until it died down. We had plenty of time to explore the narrow little cobblestone streets winding thru the hillside village, taste treats from some of the restaurants, and harass friends from home by (Skype) phoning from a street side café - meaning most of what they heard was the many passing mopeds! The supermarket at the north end of the harbor off the new floating pontoon (where we were tied up) is well stocked with a good selection of fresh veggies and meat and cheeses. One item we were not able to buy was a new Vodafone top up card for the computer modem...tried over 5 days and they had not come in...so we may be out of contact in a couple of days!
