Keeping it Clean

08 June 2018

Containers falling off a ship in Port Stephens? We had our own problems off Kalymnos. We spotted a rogue pallet mid sea. We towed it into shore so no one would have a nasty suprise . . . fiberglass vs. timber.

Monday Morning 9am

03 June 2018
A day's work is done for this guy by 9am. Back to the dock for a coffee, scale a few fish and maybe mend a few nets.

Monday Morning

6am Monday morning on Leros where would you rather be? 22 degrees, water temp 19 degrees. 20 knots forecasted for an afternoon sail.

2018 Launch Day

29 May 2018 | Agmar Boatyard Leros
Always an exciting day to get Rialto back in the water. We only spent two nights on the hardstand this year before launching. All the hard work Michael did last year scraping and antifouling paid off, just a few touch ups this year.

Goosewinging Into Lipso Harbour

22 September 2017 | Lipso
Michael
Rialto doesn't like the wind at 180 degrees, but today we got the sails goosewinged and flew down the coast into Lipso Harbour.

Patmos Monastery

22 September 2017 | Patmos
Michael
The Patmos Monastery is famous as it is where St. John wrote the book of Revelations. We toured the Monastery and the museum at the top of the chora. As with a lot of bible stories the dates don't add up. As John was banished to the island of Patmos when he was 95 years old. The guy that he was supposed to have told the stories to supposedly didn't turn up to the island until 100 years later. Don't let the truth interfere with a good story.
Did I mention the monastery is a beautiful place?
