Back To The Boat

We arrived back at Nanny Cay last evening....wonderful to be back aboard. While we were gone, we had Tony, the local painter, remove the rub rail and replace it with a gray stripe. The rub rail was really only a non-functional, aesthetic add-on. Its only function was to assist people with short legs...like me...to board the boat easier. Unfortunately, it carried with it a big downside.....the aluminum that backed the rub rail oxidized over time and cause aluminum oxide streaks to constantly stream down our beautiful red hulls.
So, now the rub rail is gone....replaced by a light gray stripe that goes with the rest of the graphics.
We'll leave a Nanny Cay tomorrow and begin our cruise to the Spanish Virgins and then on up to the Bahamas.
