Made an early arrival in Southwest Harbor where the boat will stay for the next several days while Kathy and I enjoy the island. Chip and crew will take the boat from here for the next 2 weeks, ending up back in Mystic, CT.
Our first stop for the day was a breakfast dive called Grumpy's. Kathy had 2 anemic pieces of French toast and I had a 2-egg omelette with Kraft Swiss Cheese. Total bill: $30. Are you reading this, Mr. and Mrs. Zagat.
Our culinary luck improved later in the day at the famous Jordan Pond restaurant, famous for afternoon "high teas" on the lawn and popovers, a particularly decadent form of souffle.
