A Day to Recover
17 May 2011 | Sandy Hook Bay
Turned the corner at Sandy Hook and slipped into the incredible Sandy Hook Bay, an enormous anchorage square miles in size. Entire national fleets could fit in here in the old days (say, the War of 1812). We were virtually alone in the anchorage, probably because nobody else was stupid enough to be out in this weather.
Marvelously protected from the crap going on outside, we anchored, cleaned up a little bit, and got some sleep. Nobody was in the mood to take any photos.
