Well like the saying goes, better late than never. We arrived in Marathon last Sunday along with 30-35mph winds. It was too windy to put the boat in the slip and the fuel dock was closed, so we just tied up at the fuel dock for the night. The weather was no better when we woke up on Monday. Maybe even worst, but we had to rent a car and get cousin Jack back to Okeechobee to check on a house he is buying there.So I took my life in hand and started the engines and proceeded to the slip. It went smooth,just like I knew what I was doing. Could not have gone better. So after we got the boat tied in the slip,Jack and I got the rental car and drove back to Okeechobee. I forgot to mention that when we got here Sunday and I wrote the blog, when I tried to send it, the air card or jet pac would not work! So while home, I went to Verizon and got a new air card so that's what I'm using now to send this out. Our plan as of now,but which can change anytime, is to stay here until the middle of March and then take the boat back to Okeechobee where we will get it ready for a 6 week trip to the Abaco the last of May. So this will be the last post of this blog until we start back. May go back by way of the west coast. Not sure yet. Since the fuel dock was closed when we got here,I'm not sure how much fuel we used. Both gages were reading just over a quarter tank. We have two 110 gallon tanks. If we catch any fish while here I will post them. Not much of a blog this time but thanks for following along.
