I started not to do a "blog" while traveling in our motorhome, but really its like doing a blog on the boat,except we are on land instead. We got this R/V about a month ago after selling the one we had. It was a class A 37' Gulfstream and after driving it awhile, we knew it was just too big. This one is a 28' class C and a lot easier to drive. We left Okeechobee,Fl. on April 11th. Spent the first night with our friends Clark and Kathleen Justice in St. Mary's Ga. Our next stop was in Charleston on James Island where we stayed about a week and a half on a friends empty lot. Took care of all out Dr's appt. there and then headed up to Dover, North Carolina ( about 25 miles west of New Bern) to visit our long time friends Dick and Judy Giddings. We are at the present time parked in there drive way. Dick has the complete set up mfor a camper. Electric, water, and sewage. We are going to hate to leave but cant stay here forever. Were planning on leaving in the morning to go to Greenboro,N.C., but since it has been raining since we got here there have been reports of some roads being closed due to flooding in the area. We will spend tomorrow making sure the roads we will be using will be open. After we leave Greensboro we plan on stops in Ashville, Tenn. and then some thru Ga. before getting home mid to late May. Will put my "spot" out whenever we park somewhere new. Hope you enjoy following along as we travel.
