Chevaliers in Port St Louis

Hot at the time
Each year the local guardiens have a day when their horses are blessed. From the church, they parade around the town preceded by women in traditional dress. There's then a big nosh-up and dancing, but we didn't get to that.
You can see from the picture that hardly anyone wears a hard hat, and quite a few wear spurs. In the town, the horses were a little restive, and at least one didn't join in; he was trop enerv according to his frazzled owner. The lovely Patricia, who runs the Conciergerie at Port Napoleon couldn't be there but her husband Patrick is in the crowd on his grey Lutain.
