From Genovese to Kekova Roads

From Port Genovese we traveled 45 miles today and are now sitting in Kekova Roads. The name comes from a long, narrow inlet that includes and ancient sunken city and a few towns on the mainland. On our way we managed to sail for 1 mile (at a painfully slow speed), watch a fleet of rally boats pass us in the opposite direction, witness a solitary dolphin jump across our bow, and finally meet up with some friends from Kemer on an Australian boat who directed us to a free parking space for the night.
We are now tied up nicely to a pontoon in front of "Hasan's Roma restaurant". For the price of a meal (cheap by western standards) we get an alongside berth with water and electricity. Add to that the pleasure of Paul and Hella's company and we feel quite lucky indeed.
Tomorrow we plan to spend some time exploring the sunken city by dingy and then climb the hill to see the ancient castle and the view of the harbor below. If we can find an internet connection we may even post pictures to our FLICKR page!
