Tinos and the Church of the Panayia

05 June 2007 | The island of Tinos, Greece
Robin
Tinos is the center of the Greek Orthodox faith and the Church of the Panayia (Virgin Mary/Our Lady) is the focus of this faith. This Church is devoted to the miracle-working icon of "Our Lady of Good Tidings" discovered in 1822.
Twice a year, in the spring and the fall, thousands of sick and crippled pilgrims come to Tinos seeking a cure.
The audio is an excerpt from an actual mass performed at the Church.
