We sailed to the island of La Gomera on November 8th and found a berth in the marina at San Sebastian. The next day we headed out with a rental car to explore the cities around the coastline and the beautiful forest in the center of the island - Garajonay National park.

FYI -
Gomera last had volcanic activity over 20 million years ago. Now a lot of the island is covered with forest and vegetation and only the coastline bears evidence to Gomera's violent beginning. Check out this Wikipedia link for more information about the island:
