Wildfires and blizzards

Wow! I hope the next 58 days will continue to fly by. Last Saturday, I was the Incident Commander on a 2200 acre wildfire and now we are in the grips of a blizzard. Will Rogers always said "If you don't like the weather in Oklahoma, wait a day." Saturday we set a record high of 76 degrees with numerous wildfires throughout the State, and now we have dangerous wind chills well below 0 degrees. We are planning to go to the boat on President's Day weekend. We are hoping to meet our friend Mike there that weekend. We are also wanting to meet our Broker/ friend Don Marello for dinner. The search for a new Fire Chief seems to be going well. They are trying to get one hired in time to work with me my last two weeks. I'll update to blog when we get to the boat in a few weeks. Until then...
